Comments:
- Monthly ARES Training meeting. (20 man hrs)
- Henderson Co. was unaffected by Hurricane IRENE and therefore there was no
organized response to this event by the membership. Though many members
did monitor the TAR HEEL Net, this adhoc participation is indeterminate.

Comments: We tested our CAD system and ensured that local command centers could reach it. Did some training with local departments (Fire/Rescue) on using the CAD. Did some propagation study on increasing the height of the 345 repeater.

Comments: One station participated in the Tarheel Emergency Net while it was activated this past weekend, serving as NCS for three one-hour sessions. We are in the process of establishing a packet network with a node on Cowee Bald on 147.57. It will be able to access KT4WO-10 in Swain Co. and later WB4GUD-10 in Macon Co.
