Meeting was hosted by Cabarrus County Sam (KA4ATT) thanks to Cabarrus County for hosting and thanks to
Catherine (WB4CAT) ADEC for Area-11 presenting in Mike 9WA6KWW) DEC absents at the meetings. Paul
(KD4OZI) ASEC presented slides of the counties that he visited during FD (June 23). The Counties that he visited
were Ashe, Caldwell, Iredell, Rowan, Cabarrus and Stanly County. These are up loaded on KD4OZI.ORG if you
would like to take a gander.

Cat (WB4CAT) had each county present (Cabarrus, Iredell, Rowan, Stanly and Wilkes) activities in their county.
Field Day activity was the main topic of their conversation for recent activates in their County.
Cat also recovered the seven goals for the state as well as having updating their ARES information.

1} Increase Membership in ARES
2} Fill Vacant Positions
3} All ARES Personnel in ICS Courses
4} Implement State-Wide Digital Communications
5} Implement a Training Officer's Position
6} Increase Activity in The Tarheel Emergency Net - Dave KE4JHJ
7} Obtain a List of Relief Operators that Are Self Contained

David (MD4MR), needs help in Wilkes County for The Bandits Challenge Triathlon, Saturday, August 11th in looks
like that David got some help from the other counties attending this meeting but I'm sure that more help is needed.

Sam (KA4ATT), allowed us to look over their mobile tower that his Club/ARES unit used for Field Day. It could
easily be pulled by a dues and a half. It has the capabilities of extending 125 feet but doing FD the normal raise it
75 feet so they don't need guy wires.

This is not my air launcher. It belongs to ED (W4KMA) the antenna builder. The launcher is pressurized with 50 Pounds PSI of air and will launch a tennis ball over 200 feet in the air. It was used to get dipole antennas in the air. Ed said patent pending. I'm here because it's my very first launch. My job is to get the ball when (if) it comes down.
