W.A.P.R. Steering Committee Meeting Waukesha, WI. November l7th 1985

The member s of the W.A.P.R. steering committee met at the Country Inn Sunday morning to discuss current position and direction of the organization. Those in attendance were: WB9SDA, WA4COY, WA9SOU, K9EN, KB9UQT, N9BQM, N9EYI, and WB9CHO.

Topics discussed were: Membership, purpose, newsletter, digipeaters, level 3, general meetings, and the dues structure. The meeting went very well. There was encouraging participation by everyone.

Some of the results of this gathering were to be brought forward to the general body at the next meeting, which is tentatively scheduled for January 11, 1986 (details to be announced at a later date). The purpose for this organization was acted upon, it is; To "Promote and Coordinate a Complete Statewide Wide Network for Packet Radio in Wisconsin".  A few sub-committees were established to supplement our efforts, a technical group, a digipeater study group, and a level 3 planning group.
