When I missed a radio before I build PIXIE2, I spent a whole night to program a contest simulator. I used QBASIC which comes with Windows95. If you do not know, please check the WINDOWS95 CD at OLDDOS. QBASIC is powerul enough to play with this level of programing. Anyway, I will let you have it if you like.

When you download the file, load it with QBASIC and run it. It sends call sign for you to listen. When copied properly, your counterpart will send you a contest number.
When you got it, enter only the number portion (excluding 5NN) to conclude the QSO. It does not have pointing routine yet. But, it makes you remebered what contest sounded like.
