I obtained a Tick flat package version from Embedded Research.
This is a brief report about the kit assemble.
Often who did not experienced the SOP package soldering afraid it. But if you have a well
maintenance 15W soldering iron and pinset. You can do the surface mount easily.
The key point is that you will use a small amount of solder as you can. I recommend 0.6mm
solder without flux for this. If you pour the solder too much near the parts it will jump
circuit under chip. The most difficult parts to place are chip capacitor and chip
resistor. Without pinset it is extremely difficult to place them to correct soldering
position.
But do not hold it too strong with your pinset. Otherwise the chip will fly away as fleas
when you dropped it.
The photo is TiCK flat-package integrated in the CW2S semi break-in unit for MIZUHO
MX(Pico) series. You can install it to small space left in your TRX. The command
operation of the TiCK is same as the DIP version
TiCK in the CW-2S semi brake-in unit.
