THE JAPAN DX CLUSTERS

What is THE JAPAN DX CLUSTERS (JADXC) ?

Because Juliet Alpha Cluster (JAC) has not been working since early autumn in 1999 and it is said that JAC will not come back at least in near future, we decided to build up our own web site, which can be one of the substitutes for it. Therefore the major purpose of JADXC is, like it had been at JAC, to provide the information from all over Japan to both domestic and foreign radio amateurs.

Here, we have following information:

(1) All DX SPOTS, WWV SPOTS and ANNOUNCEMENTS posted inside Japan.
(2) All DX SPOTS reporting Japanese station posted outside Japan (new !).

JADXC is established and operated by JADXC-WG, volunteer hams residing in Kyoto, since new millennium. On your question, request or bug report and so on, please feel free to write us: [email protected].

Information on our SEND DX SPOT

***** WARNING ! ! ! *****

(1) USE YOUR OWN LEGAL AMATEUR CALLSIGN.
(2) DX CALLSIGN SHOULD BE WORKED OR HEARD BY YOURSELF WITHOUT DELAY.

Otherwise you will be on our 'BLACK LIST.'

Go now !

YOUR CALLSIGN: This input field is not case-sensitive but SSID (e.g. JA1RL-4) and portable station (e.g. KH0/JA1RL) are not accepted. If you are really portable operation, please identify it in REMARKS field. YOUR CALLSIGN must be different from DX CALLSIGN.

FREQUENCY: The unit of frequency is kHz only and, if you want, you can add 100Hz digit after periodi (.), not comma (,). For example, 14150 and 14150.5 are correct and 14.150, 14150,5 and 14.150.5 will be rejected. And also off-band, or non-amateur frequency, is incorrect.

DX CALLSIGN: This field is not also case-sensitive and, of course, portable station is acceptable. But, again, if both DX and YOUR CALLSIGN are same, the result of your spotting will be error.

REMARKS: This field is optional and you can write signal report, QSX or QSL manager and so on as you like, otherwise you can leave it blank.

Information on our SEARCH DX SPOT

Go now !

BAND: Select ALL for no band restriction (i.e. all bands), 160m to 6m for each single band, or 2m&Up for 144MHz through 2.4GHz.

MODE: Select ALL for no mode restriction (i.e. all modes), or each mode if needed. Here the mode is only estimated on frequency and remarks of that spot, therefore results may be incorrect sometimes. And if you specify a mode (i.e. not ALL), the spots of 2m and up are not included at all in the result.

CALLSIGN: Input full callsign or some part of it for partial matching. For example the string is 'JA', then both JA1RL and W1JA will be matched. Search is not case-sensitive and regular expression is also acceptable here. And if you check 'dx', the callsign of spotted DX station will be searched, otherwise (i.e. 'de' checked) that of the station spotting it to his/her cluster node. All stations will be matched when this field is blank.

LAST: Select the maximum quantity of last spots returned as answer. We, JADXC-WG, kindly ask all the users to SELECT AS MINIMUM NUMBER AS YOU NEED in order to avoid the overload of our server and leased line.

DXCC and ZONE information for each spot

On the top-left of 'LAST 25 DX SPOTS' page, we created new link to 'LAST 25 DX +DXCC' page on which DXCC and ZONE information is added to each spot at the end of line.

The information followed from the left:

    major prifix:continent:cq-zone:itu-zone:name...
The original data source is CTY.DAT of K1EA with local updates and we are running our own retrieval engine for it. Please be aware that the results are not always true because there are some prefixes which could not be determined only by the callsign of the spotted station, for example FO0, ZK1, and so on.

You can go back to original 'LAST 25 DX SPOTS' page by clicking the active link at the same place on our new page. The access counter is the same with both "LAST 25 DX..." pages.
