• Frequency Coverage

FM Broadcast band "F0" - 88 to 108 MHz (receive only, PTT = short beep)
VHF High "F1" - 136 to 174 MHz (covers 2m Ham and VHF Marine for example)
UHF1 "F2" - 350 to 390 MHz (locked in TX)
UHF2 "F3" - 400 to 470 MHz (covers 70cm Ham and FRS/GMRS)
UHF3 "F4" - 470 to 520 MHz (transmitter disabled, PTT = long beep and "DIS")

Negative Comments

• Voice Scrambler not included: This feature is optional, in the basic version it is not included (F+8 has no effects)
• DTMF not included: A DTMF (telephone 'Touch Tone') function is NOT included.

Tips

• How to unlock the TRX for frequencies 350-389.995

Steps:
1.    .Turn radio off
2.    .Press and hold BAND key
3.    .Turn radio on while holding
4.    .Screen will show six stars ******
5.    .Release BAND key
6.    .Enter 350390
7.    .Radio will beep once


You can now TRX in those frequencies.

To reverse, repeat procedure.

• Windows Prolific Driver: driver for usb cable, enable Windows XP to recognize a COM port   
• Quansheng Software Program Radio: Software for program channel freq.   
• SetCOM: Software for change the COM port and to recognize the correct port   
• Test COM: Simple program that test COM ports
