My Sat station is very modest and I'm now just working FM sats in mode J/A using my TH/D7 and an home made Arrow and a Yaesu FT100. I'm building a 144/430 Mhz 'Egg Beaters' array, following the plans of Jerry K5OE.
My favorite sat is UO14. It has a really great FM transponder, and you can work it with a few watts in a vertical dual band antenna.
I've also challenged some QSO on AO27, FO20&29, but they are a little more difficult to engage (and to hear...).
I'm also trying to have a QSO whit ISS crew (I missed MIR...), but their station is not fulli operational.
But the best challenge is AO40. With some local Hams we are trying to assembly a 430->2400 station. I got a Tran Sistem downconverter that has to be modified...We hope to finish the job before the sat falling...HI!
