ITALIAN AMATEUR RADIO STATION

My activity as a HAM Radio began in 1958 under the prefix I1ZA, with equipment built from kits by the GelosoCompany in Milan, with models G 214 – G 215 in amplitude modulations.
But even before having had the license from the Ministry, in 1950, when I was 17, I had built my first 2-meter pirate transceiver, superreactive with 2 tubes of almost 1 Watt power, which I got from the tube RV12P2000, a surplus triode of the German Wehrmacht, and which was very much in fashion among the young Radio Amateurs of my generation.

It was a happy time, when a radio connection with distances of only 30 kms used to give great emotions and satisfactions.Below the electric scheme of the above-mentioned equipment is represented, and from it some bold young people may make an experiment, of course using corresponding modern tubes.

Corresponding tubes which could be used instead of the RV 12P2000 are the EC90, the 6C4 and the EX92. The 6C5 could be replaced by the EBC41 or the EBC81, overlooking the two diodes it contains.
Good luck to anyone who wishes to engage in this didactic system, but don’t forget that today the supereactive circuits are forbidden, so beware.........
