I am a QSL paper lover.
For me the QSL is not just a confirmation,
the QSL is CULTURE. With the QSL you can learn geography,
where is that city, something typical of that country, flags. 
With the confirmation by Lotw you see nothing. 
I believe that the two methods complement each other. 
One of them does not have to replace the other.
