- Dal 1988 impiegato presso la RAI-TV come TECNICO ha lavorato prima in Alta Frequenza in diversi Centri TX, poi dal 1992 presso la Produzione TV. Da quest'anno mi occupo dell'edizione della rubrica internazionale "MEDITERRANEO" coprodotta da RAI, FRANCE3 e CANAL9, trasmessa da decine di emittenti in Europa, Africa e America latina in italiano, francese, spagnolo e arabo.

- Fidanzato - da sempre - con Sabrina (matrimonio programmato per il 2000 solo dopo la di lei laurea ed il primo posto mondiale (!) nel CQWW SSB in categoria M/M).

- La sua attività radiantistica è iniziata molto presto (SWL all'età di nove anni); ha ottenuto la licenza ordinaria nel 1981 e da quella data si è interessato continuativamente al DX e al CONTESTING (primo contest ARRL Int. 1982). Esperienze varie in VHF DX (Es, EME, MS, TROPO) e SysOp dal 1992 del primo nodo PacketCluster siciliano (IT9GSF-6).

- Dopo il CQWW SSB del 1984 ha chiesto ufficilamente al CQWW Contest Committee il riconoscimento delle isole Pelagie come nuovo moltiplicatore per i Contest CQWW DX (Quelle isole risiedono sulla piattaforma continentale africana e quindi non possono essere considerate parte dei moltiplicatori ITALIA e SICILIA facenti parte della lista WAE - Worked All Europe).

- Aspettative per il futuro: incrementare il numero dei DXers siciliani interessati ai Contest e al DX; ottimizzare la rete PacketCluster IT9;

- Since 1988 in RAI-TV (national TV broadcaster) like engeneer, in the beginning in the High Frequency Area, later at the TV Production Site in Palermo. Since last year editor (AVID Co.) of "Mediterraneo" produced by RAI, FRANCE 3 and CANAL 9, broadcast in Europe, Africa and Latin America in italian, french, spanish and arabic. 

- Fiancé with Sabrina (marriage skeduled in Y2K only after her degree and the FIRST (!) world position in the M/M category for the CQWW Contest)!

- His Ham Radio activity began early (SWL when 9 years old); He obtained the full license in 1981 and since that year he has been interested in DXing and Contesting (first contest: 1982 ARRL International SSB). Various experiences in VHF DX (Es, EME, MS, TROPO); Fabio is the SysOp, since 1992, of the first PacketCluster node in Sicily (IT9GSF-6).

- After the 1994 CQWW SSB he asked the CQWW Contest Committee to acknowledge the Paelagian islands as a new multiplier for the CQWW DX Contest (Those islands are located over the African continent platform and so they are not part of the WAE ITALY or WAE SICILY multipliers).

- Future expectations: to increment the number of sicilian operators dedicated to Contesting and DXing; to optimize the IT9 PacketCluster network.
