The Achilles' hell for the desert queen (3/4)

To change the regulator position you have to add about 40cm to the 3P yellow cable (alternator) and to the 5P cable (regulator-rectifier); i've used common NO7K wire (2,5mm x 2,5mm) using the same color; on one side there're the original connectors, on the other one I've used connectors used in cars.

Cut the original connector..

..and make a 40cm cable

Make the same with the 5P cable (40cm)

5P cable ready (40cm)

Pass the cables as in the picture, belove the resonator tank

Belove: the mod is complete; you can see the 3p, 5p cable  and the fan fuse coming directly from battery;
Note the ground (yellow-green) cable betweent the frame and the regulator.

As you can see, the 5p cable is now in an open place, but don't worry: it's' waterproof; 
If needed, you can add a little protection,just a rubber sheet over the connectors.

Well: how does the regulator work now?
If it die due to project problem, well, we can do nothing, but is the problem is heat and vibrations, now it works better;
the case temperature is much lower and don't forget I've tested it in August, 15 with more than 37 degrees.
Really a good job.
