WinpPics

With WinpPics it's easy to view images before placing them into a HTML document. WinpPics does not support Animated-GIF's! The following formats are supported:
*.BMP; *.GIF; *.ICO; *.JPG; *.WMF

Installation:

Check if you've got the Microsof Visual Basic Virtual Machine MSVBVM50.DLL installed on your PC. If not WinpPics will not work!! It's possible to download it from the internet.

Assuming that Winpack is installed in C:\Winpack

  1. Make a Folder called Winppics ( C:\Winpack\Winppics)
  2. Place WinpPics.exe , Winppics.ico ,Winppics.hlp in the folder Winppics
  3. The same goes for Install.htm and InstallEng.htm but these are not needed by the program
  4. Place Winppics.xtr in the folder Winpack
  5. This step is for those who use xpHTMLcv by G4FJQ.
    At WinpPics startup choose setup.
Specify the path to the folder in which xpconfig.fjq resides and click OK.
Start Winpack again. When everything is properly installed you'll find under "File" , Winppics. There also is a button placed in the buttonbar on top. If not, check if the above mentioned steps are done correctly.

If Winpack is installed in a different Folder then C:\Winpack you'll have to correct the Winppics.xtr file (can be done in Notepad). See also the help-files in WinPack regarding this subject.

How to:

In combination with xpHTMLcv by G4FJQ WinpPics provides the tokens needed by that program. WinpPics allows you to make the document in advance. Begin in Winpack starting to address your message and click OK in WinPack. The edit-field appears. Now is the time to go to WinpPics. Edit your message in WinpPics. One simple click on the picture and the corresponding token wil be pasted in to the edit field. Through menu "Message" you can save this file to the WinpPics folder. Alternatively you can choose to drag the WinpPics-icon to the WinPack edit field and thus paste your message into WinPack. Happy sending.
