We are part of the ARRL Field Service orginization. ARES members consist of amateur radio operators who have volunteered to register their qualificatons and equipment with their local ARES leadership for communications duty when disaster strikes. In addition to disaster and emergency communications we also can provide communications for events including, but not limited to parades, and races, and fesitvals. We also participate in drills and training with the Hancock County Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management in support of their mission to protect lives and property and to manage and mitigate disasters in Hancock County.
