CLUB HISTORY
- March 18, 1991:
First assembly with 25 members.
- March 20, 1991:
Admission to the Sportclub of Alcatel Switzerland as 12th section.
- May 1991:
Getting the licence to operate an amateur radio station by Telecom PTT and issue the call
HB9AB. The call HB9AB was first used by the amateur radio operator Alfredo Bossi from
Lugano (31.8.1896 - 9.12.1976).
CQ WPX Contest CW:
First Place in Switzerland; 964,480 points.
- October 1991:
UHF/Microwave Contest IARU Region 1,
433 MHz 8th place 1,3 GHz 5th place 2,4 GHz 2nd Place, 5,7 GHz 2nd Place, 10 GHz 3rd Place
- February 29, 1992:
Reception as collective member by the Union of Swiss Short Wave Amateurs (USKA) by the
assembly of delegates.
- March 21, 1993:
Joining the Swiss Amateur Radio Teleprinter Group (Swiss ARTG). At the same time contact
with the Radioamateur Club of Alcatel Bell Telephone in Belgium.
- May 20-23, 1993:
President Stephan HB9DDO and Hansruedi HB9ZEG visit friends from the
Radioamateur Club of Alcatel Bell Telephone at the first Alcatel Olympics in Antwerp,
Belgium.
- August 6, 1994:
First contact with the Alcatel Amateur Radio Association W5VV from Alcatel Network Systems
in Richardson, Texas, USA.
- October 10, 1994:
First contact with the Amateur Radio Club from Alcatel Telspace in Nanterre, France.
- May 22 to 27, 1995:
Participation in the Alcatel Olympics in Papendal, the Netherlands. First DX-pedition of
our Club.
- May 9 & 10, 1997:
Participation in the Alcatel Olympics in Horgen, Switzerland.
- October 2-9, 1997:
President Christian HB9SOO and his XYL visit friends from the Alcatel Amateur Radio
Association in Richardson, Texas.
- February 1, 1999:
HB9AB is on the WWW
- June 1, 2001:
HB9AB publish a mirror site on qsl.net
