RACES Hurricane Drill
June 1st, 2009

This year we set up the HAMCOW at Emergency Management
headquarters in Fall River, MA.  The HAMCOW was the communications
center and utilized VHF & HF to report to Massachusetts Emergency
Management.


The Fall River Emergency Management folks worked through their
hurricane scenario and figured out how to save the city, at least
on paper.

We even found a beaver living in the swamp behind EMA headquarters.
He was also saved from the simulated hurricane.
