WAHUC

Issued by the Hungarian Radio Amateur Society (MRASZ) for contacts (SWL reports) after the 1st of March 1968. The award is issued separately for HF and VHF/UHF/SHF.

Conditions:

There are no restrictions for bands or modes, but stickers may be requested for 2xCW or 2xSSB modes.

QSOs with stations using any of the HA, HAM, HG and HGM prefixes are accepted.

The “M” supplemente of the prefixes are valid until 31st December 1996.

- WAHUC-HF: European stations have to confirm with QSL cards 2-2 contacts with each Hungarian county and 2 contacts with Budapest (40 QSL cards).

DX stations have to confirm 1-1 contacts with each Hungarian county and 1 contact with a tation in Budapest (20 QSL cards).

Conditions for SWLs are the same.

- WAHUC-VHF/UHF/SHF:

Foreign stations have to confirm with QSL cards 1-1 contacts with each Hungarian county and 1 contact with a station in Budapest (20 QSL cards).

Conditions for SWLs are the same.

- WAHUC-MULTIBAND-HF:

The applicant shall submit QSL cards confirming 75 QSOs altogether on any HF band (WARC bands inclusive). Only one QSL per band is accepted from each county and Budapest.

Other conditions:

  1. Contacts made through terrestrial repeaters are valid.
  2. The applications shall contain the usual data:
  1. The QSL cards need not be annexed. The log extract must be confirmed by two licensed radio amateurs, but the award committee may request the submission of the cards.
  2. Fees: 10 IRCs for the award, 2 IRCs for stickers.
  3. The Hungarian stations use their county abbreviations (see annex) in the HA-DX Contest.
