Homebrew M-2000 VHF/UHF/SHF Transceiver

Since I got my license in 1994, I always dream up of a decent small VHF/UHF homebrew portable transceiver that enables me work on high frequency bands. Many important features are essential, such as low power consumption, small size, and as many lanes as possible..

I started building the device in 1999 and have made several modifications since then. 432MHz, external Transverter module, Si570 VFO, EA-DOGM Display, etc. Finally, a new IF unit will be designed, inspired by the Elecraft K2 schematic. The basic device can operate at 28-50-70-144 and 432MHz with qrp power. The 2 transverter modules add additional 1.2GHz and 2.3 GHz bands. So you can work as a portable station on 7 bands, if you have enough space in your car to take 7 antennas with you into the mountains...

The 23cm transverter published in UKW Berichte in 1986 designed by YU3UMV. The noise figure can be better but the sensitivity not bad.

The 13cm transverter was also published in 1986 in the UKW Berichte by DC8UG and DB3UU.
