I started my HAM radio career in 1970 at HA0KDA clubstation, when I was14 years old and got my first licence, HA0DY four  years later. My main interest was QRP and RTTY that time,  plus HF/VH contesting.

In 1975 I started my university studies at the Technical University of Buda- pest (BME). As a member of it's traditional radioclub, MRC we always focused on new amateur radio technologies. This made HA5KFU and the HA5BME callsigns well known. Just few examples:

• creation of on-board power supply and regulator for AMSAT OSCARs
• supervision of OSCAR satellites on orbit
• first 2m FM repeater in Hungary
• first packet radio QSO (2m, HA5OB-HA0DY)
• first 10MHz licence in Hungary
• first store and forward FM voice repeater in Hungary
• first RTTY mailbox in Hungary
• first TCP/IP trial in Hungary
• first FBB mailbox in Central and Eastern Europe
• etc.

Because of family reasons and load of professional business I switched of

my 7/24 BBS six years ago.
