144MHz Rx Converter               GW4RWR

Introduction
Simple BF981 feeding SBL1 and followed by mosfets.

Implementation
The first rx stage is removed to the rear panel, so the N socket feeds straight in to its BF981 without any coax. The output is then routed back to the rear panel, where a jumper links to back to an N socket which feeds the mixer. This allows easy by-pass of internal front end if a TMA, for trying alternative front ends, or if operating from a site where's there's local pager or FM Band2 interference, then a BPF can be inserted between the internal front end and the mixer. Just trying to make the radio more adaptable for different solutions.

Afterthoughts
Perhaps use a separate outboard preamp and listen to airband on the image freq? But this is meant to be a 2m radio, so why bother.
