MTR1

It is all there on the label. A PYE MTRI, Military only, made in 1968.

The MTRI was made principally or solely for the Australian Military. I remember it well. The military set quite high construction standards and there was always a buzz and tension at the factory when the military inspectors were coming to check a stage of the manufacture. We knew that a few rejects would be costly and attract even tighter inspections.

The site deals mainly with Pye (and other companies) Radio Telephone and Telecommunication equipment.  It is very unlikely that we will be able to answer any questions about Pye domestic radios, radiograms, record players etc etc
