In January 2000, hurricane-force winds struck our QTH near Inverness, blowing down 5 trees and bending the top section of my 80' tower carrying the 5ele 20m yagi.    The left-hand photo shows how close the falling trees came to a P60 mobile tower (which fortunately was tilted over ready for moving) and the right-hand photo shows the nested P80, with the bent top section sticking half out - a disaster area !

You can see two of my home-made amplifiers, and an Alpha 91B which was on loan from Jim GM0NAI - this shack is as untidy as usual ! (and too small!)

This photo below of the damaged GB3LER beacon antennas was taken by Tony Erwood G7AFE in August 2000.   The 2m and 70cm antennas have suffered from water ingress, and cannot be repaired unfortunately, but the 6m dipole was OK and is now in use at the new GB3LER beacon site.
