Club web page

wpe9C.jpg (4905 bytes) The club has now been on the world wide web now for over a year and would like to thank all those who have helped make this possible. The club web page can be seen at :-

The web page is updated as often as possible but hopefully we can achieve over this coming year updated pages at least every month.

The goal of the web page is to tell people about the club at the moment but again hopefully we ca tell other hams and clubs when we will activate the gm3usl or gm3usl/p callsign over the coming year.

If any member wishes to place an article on the web page or pictures of any events please feel free to contact the club secretary or any other member of the executive committee and we will do our very best to place it no the web page.

This news letter will also be able to be read on the web and all other newsletters will be published on there as well.

Thankyou

William G Gebbie (MM1CXQ)

I.O.T.A. Disaster

wpeA8.jpg (3486 bytes) Back in July the IOTA boys from C.D.A.R.C. went to the Isle of Cumbrae for their usual event and set the equipment up being a particularly bad day disaster struck, before they managed to guy the antenna up completely the winds had picked up to Gail force 8 and blew down the beam toppling the trailer which it was mounted and destroyed the beam and rotator. Bob GM0DEQ returned home for his own antenna and managed to set this up and enter the contest but was unable to activate little cumbrae for the IOSA the day before the event.
