My PIC-EL Projects
=======================
This page describes my homebrew PIC-EL Option Kit. All the Boards ( OK only one at the moment ) are designed for single sided PCB and track spacing that anyone can manage
First we have an option to add true RS232 to the PIC-EL via the LCD header. If you are going to communicate with the PIC from a PC then there is'nt much point in having an LCD is there?

Here is a link to all the files that you need to make your own RS232 PCB. pic-el-rs232.zip its about 44K long and includes all the relevant layers. There is also a program to run the DDS daughtercard over the RS232 ( originally serdds4.asm source code by George Heron N2APB. The pin assignments have been changed to PORTB.0 and PORTB.1 to suit the PIC-EL)
You will need a free demo copy of Eagle 4.11 from CadSoft to print the etch patterns. The PCB has been designed for ease of hand drawing the etch resist using a suitable pen. I use a Staedtler Lumocolor 313 which is easily obtainable from most office supplies
