FT207R faults
                      =============

LOW SENSITIVITY OR SENSITIVITY DROPS : X101 (10.245MHz) second conversion osc
xtal.

ROUGH BACKGROUND NOISE WHEN SIGNAL RECIEVED : X101 as above.

NO TX AND NO TX LED : Q212

TX OFF FREQUENCY : 10.7MHz xtal in TX osc.

NO TONEBURST : Xtal in toneburst u/s.

BURNT OUT PRINT ON MICROPROCESSOR BOARD : Tag on on/off switch shorting to
the printed circuit board.

GARBAGE ON DISPLAY ON SWITCH ON : No real cure known for this except
switching off and on again. Yaesu published a mod but I had no luck with it.

POOR TRANSMITTED AUDIO QUALITY : This is normal.

SYNTHESIZER BUZZ ON TRANSMISSION : Yaesu published several mods for this, all
of which were spectacularly unsuccessful. I don't think there is any real
known cure for this.
