DR599E repeater and frequency expansion
                    =======================================

    To  enable  2m/70cm transponder functions and expanded RX range is  very
    simple.

    1. Remove 4 screws which hold the control head to the main body of  the
       rig.

    2. Disconnect the cable between the main body and the control head.

    3. Remove 2 screws which hold the rear cover of the control head.

    4. Remove the cover.

    5. You  will  find 2 short wire links in positions R33 and R35,  in  the
       approx.  centre  of  the  PCB. The link in position of  R35  must  be
       removed. (VERY CAREFULLY !!)

    6. Reassemble the control head and reset the microprocessor.

    By pushing the VHF selector button you will cycle the bands 130 - 174MHz
    FM and 108 - 143 AM.

    The UHF selector will cycle 850 - 910MHz FM and 400 - 470 FM.

    To  access the transponder function, push the button and VHF selector at
    the same time.

    To switch off the transponder, press UHF + FUNCTION.

    You  can transmit yourself whilst the transponder is actuated ONLY if NO
    other SIGNALS are being received.
