------------------------------

TSAtoPolar is a utility to use a TinySpectrumAnalyser to collect data for import into the G4HFQ PolarPlot program for antenna pattern measurements, saving the data into a .PLP file.
It was developed by Ross G6GVI (with help from Bob G4HFQ) and is compiled from a Python (64-bit) script.

Before use, set up your preferences in the .config file. Use the Windows Device Manager to check which COM port your TinySA is using and set TSAPORT=COMxx. Also take care to define the PATH to the folder where your files will be stored.

In use, the program will send commands to the TinySA, to set the operating frequency, IF bandwidth and sweep time.
The program will trigger a fresh sweep and pause the result afterwards: you should then see your antenna pattern (in rectangular format) on the TinySA screen. Finally there are on-screen prompts to fill in the descriptive fields.

After importing the data into PolarPlot using the "Get File" button, try clicking the "Smooth" button a couple of times and then "Rescale" and "Directivity" to get the cleanest pattern plot and then re-save the result as a new .PLP file.
