This text document is a quick description of new stuff in version
    1.10 vs 1.02

GL version 1.10 adds this:

*When scrolling through the GL lists of locations, you can now use
the physical buttons on the hendheld device. Before, only tapping
on the scroll arrows in the list would work.

*Locations can be loaded from a GPS receiver now. Read the
descriptions in the doc folder on how to connect the handheld to
the GPS receiver. The process starts from clicking on the BASE
or TARGET button and then selecting the GPS button.

After loading a GPS location, the name field in the location seems
rather unusual. It actually contains some information. Here is
how to decode one of these names. I just loaded a position from
GPS and it was given this name:
    G02177234811
This may look like jibberish but it has some meaning.
It breaks down like this:
    G 02 177 23 48 11
G= GPS, 02=year, 177=Julian_date=June 26 this year,
23 48 11 = local hour min sec time from the Palm clock.

*The handheld clock can be set from the GPS with an accuracy of a
couple seconds. To start this, select the Prefs button on the main
form or go to menu options. On the Options form, select the TIME
button near the bottom. A form opens to allow changing the UTC Offset.
Change this with the arrow buttons if it is wrong for the local
time zone. Click the DONE button and the handheld clock will be
set from the GPS if the connection succeeds.

*There is an updated version of the GL_ne_us.txt memo file for the NE
United States. This is courtesy of Ed Parsons, K1TR.
