Ham radio
has changed beyond all recognition over the years - at one time ham radio was Morse
code with home made transmitters and ex military receivers and maybe a home made a.m transmitter for 160 metres. Then
the early Yaesu transceivers came along and things changed a lot. now no ham
radio shack is complete without a computer which lends it's way to digital
modes and listening to utility stations. with the advent of the cheap raspberry
pi there is yet another exciting avenue that’s been opened for us to
explore
