This is my old station... new pages coming soon to include my new 5.4m dish... for now take a look at G4CCH EME system information

This is the antenna that I have used for 1296 MHz EME since 1982

It is a 2.4 M dish with an F/D ratio of 0.6, and utilises a W2IMU feedhorn for circular polarisation

An Azimuth / Elevation mount with motors driving threaded rods is used, and fully automatic tracking of the Moon or Sun is achieved using an old CBM 64 computer with a home made interface and software

The RX pre amp is mounted directly on the feed to minimise losses, and the TX power is fed to the horn using LDF 5-50 Coaxial cable

This is a shot of me with the equipment that I use for EME

The station is comprised of a Yaesu HF Transceiver which is used on 28MHz as the IF, and a 1296 MHz Transvertor & High Power TX Amplifier

All of the 1296 MHz equipment is home made
