Expeditions Page

Like many radio amateurs, as well as chasing DX, I enjoy being DX. My first opportunity at this, other than some minor IOTA activations and various offshore contest activities, came when Chris ZS6EZ invited me to join him for an operation from Walvis Bay in 1994. Since then I have been a member of the large-scale 9M0C and D68C DXpeditions, as well as having taken my radio along on holiday trips, for something much more casual.

As well as the operations listed below, I have taken part in IOTA (Island on the Air) expeditions to Les Minquiers (EU-099, first activation, with G3ZAY), the Farne Islands (EU-109, first activation, also with G3ZAY), St.Kilda (EU-059) and the Flannan Islands (EU-118, first activation) (these two with G3ZAY, G0HSD and others).
