We usualy manage to spend 7 to 10 days a year on the Amalfi Coast in Italy, this is a spectacular region with all the villages perched on the side of the mountains with steep drops down to the sea below. The 25 kms of road between Vietri sul Mare at the southern end to just beyond Positano at the northern end has 2500 bends so it's quite a driving experience especially when you meet a coach!! We stay about 2 kms north of Amalfi at Conca del Marini in a hotel built on the cliff face.Other notable towns to visit are Positano, Ravello, Atrani, Cetara, Sorrento and of course the islands of Capri and Ischia in Naples Bay.
