Comoros Trophies

In February 2001 the UK-based Five Star DXers Association made a DXpedition to the Comoros Islands in the Indian Ocean. The team activated D68C for a period of three weeks on all HF bands and modes, as well as 6m and satellite.

The DXpedition has a web site at
http://www.dxbands/com/comoros

As an encouragement to working the station, Nevada is sponsoring the
"Nevada Comoros Trophies".
Three classes of awards are available to UK stations, being:

  • the leading QRO station working D68C on the most band/mode combinations.
  • the leading Low Power (<100W) station working D68C on the most band/mode combinations.
  • the leading club whose members accrue the highest aggregate band/mode combinations.

The club made an entry for this last award, whilst several members additionally made entries to the individual awards.

A table of scores can be found here.

In the Club Section DMU ARS finished 5th.

In the individual Low Power/single element antenna section M5ZAP finished 2nd and G3CWI and G0TPH finished in joint 4th place.
