International Marconi Day (IMD) 29th April 2000
A total of 170 contacts were made (50 on CW) using GB4JAM on IMD.
Equipment used, Yaseau FT101ZD providing typically 80 watts into an ATU, and 
then into a 15m quarter wave vertical (used on 15m only ssb).
Icom FT747 (50 to 100watts) with auto ATU into 180ft long wire (used for CW 
and ssb any band).
Most contacts were from Europe, and Russia on 80, 20, or 15m
Operation started midnight UTC, and went on for over 2 hours, then a break, 
restarting at 7am, continuing to 11pm.
The following IMD stations were contacted :
EI3IMD Dublin, GB2MD RSGB, IY4FGM and IY4IMD Bologna, WA2GM New Jersey.
Other stations of interest, GKB5 Porteshead was also contacted on cross band. 
(That was the last day of transmission from BT coastal staions).
