International Marconi Day 20th April 1996, where for the second year GX3IW took part as a 'Marconi station' - one of only 40 around the world.
Our connection with Marconi being that he operated from Osbourne House, only 2Km away.
We made over 800 contacts in the 24 hours, including New Zealand on 20m, which considering the state of propagation was good.
This years Marconi event generated about 700 GB4JAM cards which were sorted into alpha numerical order and sent to the RSGB for distribution.
