Keep it Brief?

Not all Adventure Radio needs to be out in the wilds. On my trip to Rhodes I made over 1000 QSOs using a very simple homebrew station. The tranceiver is a superhet design that runs 7 Watts output. I used a dipole slung up from a balcony above our room in the hotel. Amazingly, while many looked at the aerial, no-one ever asked what it was!

Here is the station. It all fits in a small briefcase. Great for DXing overseas!

There it is - all ready for an adventure to Rhodes. Wow, look at those knees!
