Operation from Koronadal City, South Cotabato, Philippines, July 2006
In the first two weeks of July 2006 I was fortunate to be invited to stay at the QTH of Roy DU9/G4UNL and Marie DU9/G0WWZ in Koronadal City on the island of Mindanao in the southern Philippines.
Being used to running low power to attic antennas, it was a real treat to run 100W to Roy's A4S Beam and contacts with Japan and Australia were ten a penny! Europe was more of a challenge near the bottom of the sunspot cycle, but I has solid CW contacts with several European countries, and the icing on the cake was a QSO with fellow WADARC member Graham G0IOF, who was my Morse teacher back in 1992.
