GND's 2182kHz Ajax transmitter - click to downlaod a larger imageThe AJAX range of transmitters were installed into the UK Coast Stations in the late 1970's and remained the mainstay of the system until closure in the year 2000.

These were 1kW single frequency SSB transmitters, although CW/MCW versions did exist at those stations which were involved with the 1.6MHz trawler frequencies.
