- Meeting called to order by V.P. VE7PJ at 1941 hrs on 96-10-08.

- Call for adoption of previous minutes by VE7NEK and seconded by VE7ESW.

Reports of Sick or Injured Amateurs: VE7HH is back at home and on medications. Reports are that he is feeling much better.

Correspondance: - ANG sent a letter agreeing to packet radio in their Morriesy Ridge site. VE7CRJ is planning on installing the radio in the next few weeks. This will provide a packet path out to Lethbridge.

- Club received a $500.00 dollar donation from the Accordion Festival for their assistance during Kimberley's Accordion Fest.

Old Business:

Membership Dues: NEK reports that there maybe another reminder sent out. There are 69 paid up club members.

CW Practice: PJ still planning. Will probably be on a 146.52 simplex. More next meeting.

New Business:

Swap Meet: EHH stats that there will be a swap meet at WCC's business on Oct 26 from 1000-1300 hrs. Cliff is on Van Horne st. Bring your junk or just come down for a coffee.

Projects: EHH asked if there was any interest in a club project (QRP etc). None shown. TED stated that he has TEN-TEC 6 mtr transverter kit. Will bring down when finished.

Link Repeater: ERU reports that MEL's link repeater to Creston has changed frequency. It is now on 147.99 MHZ down 600 khz.

JOTA: TED reports that Scouts have approached himself and CRJ for this event. TED is looking for assistance. Event is on 96-10-20.

HF Packet: ESW reports that he has contacted a VE1 on HF.

New Ham: EHH introduces Trevor VE6EXE. Trevor is from Pincher Creek area and is working with EHH. Trevor is looking at HF and moon bounce for the coming year.

Space Info: BGO reports that shuttle is changing frequencies to avoid conflict with MIR. MIR stays on 145.55 for packet and shuttle moves for voice.

Gift of Appreciation: BGO presented KD with a gift of appreciation on behalf of the club for KD's past service as president. BGO remarked on how KD was a difficult man to keep track down as he had tried to present this gift on at least two previous occasions. The gift was a hand-crafted pen set.
