VE7SKT Will

VE7CRJ The phone
patch is now up and operational, Creston and Fernie
are all local calls. Total monthly cost is $24.00 + tax. Due to an exchange of equipment made by
VE7CRJ there was no cost for the additional equipment.
VE7KD Reported on the October 28 bingo went very well and
that all bingos are now under the BC lotteries and that they are pro-rated and
cash value is not dependant on attendance.
VE7CRJ also noted that the lotteries subsidize $600. Per
bingo.
VE7LOC stated that there is so much info
on the subject of climbing equipment that he delegated VE7TED to conduct
research on the matter.
VE7TED reported that rock climbing
apparatus is not WCB approved for tower work.
A full body harness with shock arresters will run approx. $500 VE7LOC has been
in contact with VE7TMJ and has been advised to go for full body harness as
opposed to waist belt. A discussion was
held and it was decided that VE7LOC will do further price studies prior to Dec.
meeting before a motion for purchase.

VE7CRJ reported that we recognize
$1500. Per bingo.
A discussion was held re status of bingos and whether to renew licence. Decision is
needed prior to Jan. 15 for renewal in Veb. A detailed project report is also to be
submitted with renewal. VE7LOC suggested
a steering committee to decide fate of bingo.
MOTION: Moved VE7ERG, seconded VE7LD that
we form a committee to decide on bingo status.

VE7LOC,
VE7TED, VE7RWD, VE7CRJ, VE7NEK & VE7FDT will form steering committee and
will report their findings prior to Dec. meeting.
VE7FDT expressed wishes to see a
communications group started to assist PEP, search and rescue. VE7CRJ is to contact Jom
Dalzell to get a liist of EKARC members who have
already stated and interest. VE7KD
stated that a memorandum from Dalzell outlining his needs is required.
