EAST KOOTENAY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB MEETING

MINUTES

Present: VE7LOC, VE7CZE, VE7DNG, VE7ECR, VE7RXC, VE7CRJ, VE7KFR, VA7CSH, VE7XTP, VE7NQ, VA7WN and VE7NEK..

Guests: Nil

Meeting called to order: at 6:30 PM by VE7LOC

Adoption of the agenda: Motioned By DNG. Second by VE7NEK. Carried.

Sick or injured amateurs: Nil Noted, but NEK gave a quick update on his condition.

Minutes of April 2017 meeting: Minutes moved by DNG. Seconded by NEK. Carried.

Business arising from the minutes:

1) NEK gave the group an update on the tour of the RDEK EOC. He noted 13 members were in attendance. Also of note the computer is very old and there is no HF capability on site.

2) Per item 6 on the April 2017 minutes, per the constitution there was no need to bring forward a motion for the appointment for a club EOC director. This position can be appointed by the club executive. A motion will be brought forward at the next meeting to withdraw this motion. The Club Executive will discuss possible appointees.

Treasurer’s Report: Nil available.

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Hand Held Radio draw,

Draw was held and VE7RXC was the winner.

2. Picnic:

Will be held at Wycliffe Park August 20^th 2017 at site 4. Potluck supper and games as usual.

3. Current Membership:

Stands at 44 paid members.
