Held at the Coach House Restaurant, Cranbrook BC.  10 members present. Chair: VE7CRJ

 

SICK OR INJURED AMATEURS:

VE7BWS – Brian’s son passed away. A sympathy card was sent.

 

MINUTES

MOTION: Adopt the minutes of the previous meeting as circulated and corrected

Moved VE7SKT Seconded VE7NEK. Carried.

CORRESPONDENCE:

-         CNIB: receipt for $100 donation

-         VE3NCE: request for $100 for Amateur Youth Education Programme

-         Holmes Insurance: notification of insurance rate increase of $900 to $1000

 

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:

 

VE7CRJ          -    The IRLP computer problem was repaired by VE7CRJ

-         The Cell phone patch has been cancelled but 911 still can be used.

-         VE7CRJ to hook up a new phone patch for the Kimberley exchange.

-         Shaw Cable has asked for clarification re: our use of the Radium site.

-         VE7CRJ will continue communication with Shaw Cable

-         VE7ZIP attended the ESS course at the College of the Rockies

MOTION:        Adopt the treasurer’s report as circulated.  Moved VE7NEK, Seconded VE7KFR  CARRIED.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

-         There has not been enough interest to offer a radio course at this time. VE7LOC has

      offered to elmer anyone needing help preparing for the basic exam.

-         VE7NEK and VE7ZIP volunteered to look after the EKARC annual banquet

-         The Coleman repeater is intermittently operational and not yet linked to VE7CAP

-         VE7NEK will look into insurance and report to the March meeting

-         A discussion was held re: the use of remaining bingo funds

-         VE7CRJ will contact the BC Emergency Response System and report back

-         VE7KFR reported a Salvation Army training session will be offered  April 3, 2004.
