Feb. 8th, 2003 Held at the ABC Restaurant, Cranbrook BC.  16 members present.

MOTION: Adopt the minutes of the previous meeting as read.  Moved VA7PST, Seconded VE7MX.  CARRIED.

BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES:

 

VE7CRJ          The Bingo licence has now been submitted for approval.  Changes to the previous budgetary items which have not been spent, have been approved.

MOTION: To set the price for a manual at $20.  Moved VE7MX, Sec. VE7PJ.  CARRIED.

MOTION:  To set the course fee at $50.  Moved VE7ESW, Sec. VE7NEK CARRIED.

MOTION: Adopt the treasurer’s report as read.  Moved VE7NEK, Seconded VA7PST.  CARRIED.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

 

VE7CRJ          A meeting will be held in Fernie This Wed., Feb. 12th, for the Elk Valley & South Country Emergency Program and  a P.E.P. meeting will be held at the Coast This weekend.  VE7CRJ will attend both.

 

VE7LOC         Elections will be carried out at the March 8th.  meeting.  Positions vacant will be President, Vice President and Secretary.

 

VE7KFR         The ESS (Emergency Social Services) group has purchased an ID tee shirt for one club member to wear when on duty at an emergency (like the Tudor House fire).  Two stand-by members should be ready to attend if VE7KFR is not available.  VE7LOC and VE7NEK volunteered.

 

VE7NEK         suggested, in view of the noise level, we try to move our meeting

downstairs. VE7CRJ will look into making the move.

 

 

VE7LOC         The Flathead Valley Amateur Radio Club newsletter was circulated.
