Driving 4x4 car from Bukavu to Uvira (Eastern DRC) may take more than 4 hours due to bad road condition. Hoerver, there is an option to make a longer trip via Rwandan territory, whih takes less than 2 hours including time spent for border entry/ exit formalities. This is part of the road across Rwanda.

Unique fishing technique I spotted on the lake Kivu, Eastern Congo. Three boats are attached in a line forming kind of trimaran. Fishing net is stretched between six long wooden poles, three on each side of boats. The rest is a question of dodginess of the crue equilibrating from one boat to another.
