Positioning the mast
Snowie our "Westie" gives the project his seal of approval, The bottom section of mast is positioned on the stem post
After making the mast parallel, square & level with the stem the pivot point is determined
The magnetic drill is positioned on the punched pivot point and the hole is drilled keeping the drill cool with water, the stem will bet cut to correct length later on

Sleeve welded on side of stem both sides

Clearance between base plate and bottom section of mast
Dry assembly to see if all is ok
