Following changes have been made to the RIG:
- RX-Unit has been substituted by the MUTEK-FRONTEND-BOARD and was tuned to maximum preformance in the SSB section of the Band, after tuning the unit, the gain improved to about 10 dB and the channelselektion was much better.
- SSB transmitting signal has been feadtrough the FM-Speechprosessing unit to obtain best results (clipping) in transmit mode, reducing splatter and giving a very strong audio
- VCO-Unit, substitution of the resistance in the oszillator circuit with a choke, to get lower noisfigure in recieving mode, about 2 dB.
- Changing the 30k Ohm resistor for the reference frequency to the PLL circuit , in order to get a lower noisfigure, about 0.5 to 1.4 dB
