Frame Paint Finish

Frame Paint Finish

Up Viper

Finally, after more than 3 month's work, I managed to start painting the Oddy on 6/1/03.

~Influenced~ by Sandra, I wound up with metallic blue color + clear coat. Few days prior I've decided to paint 2 white stripes on blue base. How come ? Back in 1999, during a business trip to Detroit, I had the opportunity driving a blue Dodge Viper with white stripes. V10 engine, 450 hps, 6 speed manual trans ... quite a car. Long story short, that style's what I wanted. Let's do it.

I started painting the front bumper. Then I made my way to the back bumper.

It was already late evening on 6/1/03. Sandra couldn't wait to see the first results.

Now the stripes ...

I was using tape to protect blue from white paint .

Rear end.

Painting white stripes.

Removing protection tape.

Front view.

Last thing missing is the clear coat. Stay tuned.
