The DIG also holds weekly round table nets, both in phone and CW. It gives you the chance to make QSOs with other members and get the latest news from the award and DX scene. Annual QSO parties and other contests are available to those with a competitive mind. The club also publishes its own newsletter, the "DIG Journal", as well as a directory of award rules, the"DIG Diplombeilage". Needless to say, a yearly updated membership list is also available.
The DIG also offers a high quality award series and trophies to all hams and SWLs. The award program consists of more than 10 different certificates.
Who can become member? Any ham or SWL who achieved at least 25 different awards, including at least 3 from the DIG's own award program and who subscribes the DIG ethics such as 100% QSLing. The membership requirements were kept as simple as that to avoid any misunderstandings.
Full details may be obtained from the DIG HQ (please include an address label and return postage):
General rules which apply for all awards: the fee for any award is 10,- DM or 10$ (remember the high postage rates in Germany). If specific award rules don't stipulate, any award can be endorsed for mixed modes, CW or VHF only. A GCR list as application form is accepted.
