TX LOOP

The diagram

The loop is vertical errected, 12 metres high and 70 metres long. The lower wire on average is two metres above

ground. The total DCR is 5,5 Ohm and RFR is 3,3 Ohm (according to the progr. Rjeloop1 by G4FGQ). Feeder current measured is abt. 2.6A if the input is abt. 130W. The loop is remotely tuned to resonance. The winding ratio 12 : 12 is found by trial and error. The spacers of the upper wires and the spacers of the lower wires are vertical connected with each other by very thin fishing lines (using this almost invisible lines may be critical to low-level-planes and to birds).

The test construction of matching and tuning the TX-LOOP

1 = 400pF/10kV resonance sharp tuner (remote control), 2 and 5 = sharp tuner for Z50 Ohm, 3 and 4 = coarse tuner for resonance and Z50 Ohm. The transformer was in use in an other test equipment (160m) whilst taking

the foto. It is normally placed btwn part number 3 and part number 5.
