Installing the software
To get knowledge about the system-requirements, please refer to the english chapter 1 in this help-database.
FT100-SuperControl� was designed to work on Windows 32bit systems like Windows95, Windows98, WindowsNT4.0, WindowsME, Windows2000 and WindowsXP. Attention: If you are using a Server based system like WindowsNT4.0, Windows2000 or WindowsXP, please make sure you have administrator rights, when installing FT100-SuperControl� !
Under some circumstances it could be, that error-messages may occur after the installation, if you are using older versions of Windows95. In this case you may get ADO-errors. To eliminate these errors, you must install DCOM95. You can find DCOM95 on the FT100-SuperControl� CD-ROM (drawer "_win95"), or on the Microsoft homepage.
CD-ROM Installation:
Please start the installation with a doubleclick on the file �setup.exe", you can find this file in the root directory of your CD-ROM. Please follow the instructions on the screen and read them carefully. The installation itself may need several restarts of your Windows system. Please follow as described on your screen and reboot as often as the system requires it. The installation itself is self-explainable and shouldn�t lead into any problems. After the successful installation you�ll find an icon on your desktop, which can be used to start FT100-SuperControl�.
If there are new updates available, either published on this CD-ROM or published via the internet, you simply can extract the Update-file (normally an .exe-file) into your previously installed FT100-SuperControl� program directory. Also please read possible installation text�s, which are coming with any update, carefully ! They may describe special needs. FT100-SuperControl� is now ready to work with.

Installation of internet downloaded files:
If you want to install FT100-SuperControl� for the very first time, you�ll need the full installation package (approx. 37 MB) , which you can download from our homepage www.supercontrol.de. The update file is not working, if you don�t have installed the full installation package first. You can download the package as a one-file archive or as multiple files with a size of 1.44MB each. You can start the installation by doubleclicking on the selfextracting .exe file. Please follow the instructions on your screen. The installation should be self-explainable to you and may need several restarts of your windows system. After the successful installation you�ll find an icon on your desktop, which can be used to start FT100-SuperControl�.
If there are new updates available, you simply can extract the Update-file (normally an .exe-file) into your previously installed FT100-SuperControl� program directory. There is no need to download the whole full installation package again, until it is specially advised to do so.
